The usual split: the address book on your phone and the contacts in your CRM drift apart until nobody knows which number is right. On iPhone and Android, Nexicall syncs both ways — one number, maintained in one place.

What happens on a sync

Change a number in your address book and it arrives in Nexicall. Change it in Nexicall and it goes back to the address book. When both sides changed between syncs, Nexicall merges them instead of overwriting one, and logs the conflict. Deletion is deliberately non-destructive: a contact that disappears on one device is archived rather than destroyed — that exact bug has bitten this product once, and the lesson now lives in the code.

What it manages — and where the edges are

  • Several numbers per contact, distinguished as mobile, landline and fax
  • Postal address, also synced in both directions
  • A memory per contact: what was discussed, what's next, what matters personally
  • Birthdays that surface in the morning briefing instead of rotting in a list
  • Address-book sync runs on iPhone and Android. The web app has no system address book to sync with — there you work on Nexicall's contacts directly.
  • Larger lists import as a file in the web app. Mapping CSV columns on a phone is miserable, so the native apps deliberately point at the browser.

One contact, three views

Contacts live in one database, not three side by side. What you change on the phone is in the web app; what you add in the browser is there on your next call — history, notes and open threads included.

Common questions

Will Nexicall overwrite my phone contacts?
No. If both sides changed, they're merged and the conflict is logged. Deleted contacts are archived, not destroyed.
Can I store several numbers per contact?
Yes — mobile, landline and fax kept separate, with a primary number for one-tap dialling.
How do I get my existing contacts in?
