HubSpot alternative

HubSpot is a platform you sit in front of. Nexicall is a CRM you hold.

HubSpot is enormous, and most of it is very good. But its centre of gravity is a browser tab — and if your day is calls from a car, a corridor and a car park, you are using the smallest corner of something you are administering the rest of the time.

What HubSpot is, fairly

HubSpot is a genuinely excellent platform: a CRM that reaches into marketing, service and content, an app marketplace with thousands of entries, custom objects, workflow automation and reporting a business can run on for a decade. Its mobile app is a capable window onto all of that. The honest difference is direction of travel. HubSpot is a desktop platform that also has a phone app; Nexicall is a phone app that also works at a desk. If your team lives inside marketing automation and shares pipelines with four other departments, HubSpot is not the wrong answer and this page will not pretend otherwise.

Partly means it exists with a limit worth knowing. Our offline mode is read-only and only in the phone apps, and an incoming call is only offered for logging if Nexicall was in the foreground when it ended.

Where Nexicall is the better choice

  • The call is the unit of work: a briefing before you dial, the outcome captured the moment you hang up
  • Duration is recorded by the system in minutes and seconds, not estimated into a field afterwards
  • Dictate the note; the AI writes it up, files it against the contact and proposes the follow-up
  • Two-way sync with the address book on the phone itself, several numbers per contact, with no connector to configure

Where HubSpot is the better choice

  • Marketing and sales share one system: email campaigns, forms, landing pages and lifecycle stages are all theirs and none of them are ours
  • You need custom objects, custom fields, workflow automation or reporting a board reads — we have none of that
  • Your stack has to connect to everything. Their marketplace is one of the largest in software and ours does not exist yet

Which one you should actually pick

Pick HubSpot if the CRM is the hub of a business — marketing sending, support ticketing, reporting several teams depend on. Pick Nexicall if the CRM is where calls go, and every tool so far has treated the phone as an afterthought with a smaller screen. Be clear-eyed about the trade: moving to Nexicall means giving up marketing automation, custom objects and the marketplace. What you get back is that every call is captured with its real duration and written up before you have put the phone down. For a small team selling by phone that is usually the trade worth making, and for a marketing-led business it usually is not.

Common questions

Can Nexicall replace HubSpot outright?
For a small team whose CRM is calls, contacts and deals, yes — contacts, deals, pipeline, history and follow-ups are all here, on web, iPhone and Android. If you use HubSpot for marketing email, forms, ticketing, custom objects or workflow automation, no. Those are real gaps, not roadmap coyness.
Can I move my HubSpot data across?
Contacts and deals, yes — export them from HubSpot to a file and the web app's import wizard maps the columns and your pipeline stages for you, so an existing pipeline arrives intact rather than being retyped. Historical activity — old calls, emails and notes — does not come with it.
Does HubSpot not already log calls on mobile?
Partly. On Android, HubSpot can show a log-call screen once a call ends, and an incoming call can be logged if the number already matches a contact. On iPhone there is no such prompt. Nexicall does it on both: for a call you place from the app, the log opens with the real duration already filled in.
