Zoho CRM alternative

Zoho CRM gives you everything. Nexicall gives you the call.

Zoho is one of the broadest suites in software: a CRM, and around it a few dozen other applications that all talk to each other. If your problem is breadth, it is very hard to beat. Nexicall is the opposite bet — one job, done properly, on the device the job actually happens on.

What Zoho CRM is, fairly

Zoho CRM is a serious product with a serious feature list: custom modules and fields, workflow automation, a marketplace, Zia's AI assistance, and a mobile app that genuinely does more than most — it logs calls automatically on Android, and it lets you update records offline and sync later, which is more than we do. Zoho describe the app as the power of the web app on your device, and that is exactly right, read in both directions. It is a very good mobile version of a desktop CRM. Nexicall is not a mobile version of anything.

Partly means it exists with a limit worth knowing. Our offline mode is read-only and only in the phone apps, and an incoming call is only offered for logging if Nexicall was in the foreground when it ended.

Where Nexicall is the better choice

  • The whole product is the calling workflow: a briefing before you dial, the outcome captured as you hang up, the follow-up proposed
  • Call capture works the same on iPhone and Android instead of being an Android-only feature
  • Dictate the note; the AI writes it up, files it against the contact and suggests what happens next
  • Two-way sync with the phone's own address book, several numbers per contact, nothing to connect

Where Zoho CRM is the better choice

  • You want one vendor for everything — books, support desk, campaigns, forms — and you want it integrated out of the box
  • You need custom modules, custom fields and workflow automation. We have none of it
  • You work where there is no signal: Zoho lets you update records offline and sync later, and our offline mode only reads

Which one you should actually pick

Pick Zoho CRM if you want a suite — if the answer to “what else do we need” should be “another Zoho app”. It is a great deal of capable software and it will not be the thing that holds you back. Pick Nexicall if your team's day is calls and everything else in the CRM is furniture. The honest test: open your current CRM and count how many of its features you used this week. If the answer is three, you are paying for the other ninety in configuration and clicks.

Common questions

Can Nexicall replace Zoho CRM?
For a team whose CRM is calls, contacts and deals, yes — all of that is here, on web, iPhone and Android. If you rely on custom modules, workflow automation, or the rest of the Zoho suite talking to your CRM, no. Those are real gaps, not roadmap coyness.
Can I move my Zoho CRM data across?
Contacts and deals, yes — export them from Zoho to a file and the web app's import wizard maps your columns and pipeline stages, so the pipeline arrives rather than being retyped. Historical activity, and anything living in a custom module, does not come across.
Zoho already logs calls on mobile. Why switch?
Zoho's automatic call log is real, and on Android it is good. It is also Android-only, and it needs the number to already exist in the CRM. Nexicall works the same on both platforms — and the point is not only that the call is logged, but that the note is dictated and written up, and the next step proposed, before you have put the phone down.
